A cantilever beam is made by nailing together three boards of cross section 50 mm by 150 mm (Figure P7.7). It is subjected to an end load P = 8.0 kN. Determine the magnitude and location of the maximum tensile flexural stress for the beam cross section and the maximum tensile flexural stress in the center board.
