In Section 4.5.1, we discussed the use of amplitude modulation with a complex exponential carrier to implement a bandpass filter. The specific system was shown in Figure 4.26, and if only the real part of f (t) is retained, the equivalent bandpass filter is that shown in Figure 4.30.

In Figure P4.46, we indicate an implementation of a bandpass filter using sinusoidal modulation and lowpass filters. Show that the output y(t) of the system is identical to that which would be obtained by retaining only in Figure 4.26.
