Dehydration synthesis is involved in the joining together of two amino acids with the loss of water in the chemical reaction. Hydrolysis is involved in the splitting part of the two amino acidswith the addition of H+ to one amino acid and OH- to the other.
Dehydration synthesis is the reverse of hydrolysis.
