Lack of B or T lymphocytes would cause immunodeficiency diseases, in which infections would be overwhelming. With a lack of B cells, antibodies would not be produced and pyogenic infections would occur. With lack of T cells, viral diseases, granulomatous diseases, and cancers would predominate.
