Schizophrenia is a neuro-psychiatric disorder and many times it is very severe. Though it is a psychological disorder the disorder is associated with impairment of normal functioning. It is not only the patients who suffer in this disorder but also the associated family members who are in charge for their care and medications. Even the clinicians who handle the patient for treatment find the patient difficult. And researchers have always faced a difficulty to understand the disorder and reasons behind the behavior of a schizophrenic patient.

In schizophrenia the thought process of an individual is affected. The thoughts make space for feelings to develop. The feelings of a schizophrenic person will be very different from that of a normal person in the same given situation or circumstances. 1) The person appears very withdrawn when in a group.
2) A schizophrenic person does not respond appropriately.
3) He/she cannot express emotions among a group of people.
4) The person has a tendency to hear and see something that does not exist in reality.
5) A schizophrenic person has a feeling that he is constantly being observed by someone.
6) The body posture and positioning is not normal.
7) A person suffering from schizophrenia will be very indifferent towards the most important situation in life.
8) Their performance declines at workplace.
9) There is a complete transformation of personality.
10) Schizophrenic people cannot sleep or concentrate.
11) They have too much of obsession with occult.

If the above listed symptoms persist for more than two weeks they should seek help medically. Schizophrenia can be caused due to heredity, abnormality of brain. It can be a result of viral infection or immune disorders.
