A niche is often considered as the occupation of an organism. An organism performs different occupations in the physical and biological conditions of its ecosystem.
Some such conditions may include the following:
• variety of temperature at which the organism is found
• The type of food eaten by that organism
• The way in which the food is obtained
• Place of the organism in the food web
• The temperature at which it performs the occupation
• The account of other organisms feeding on it as a food
All physical (abiotic) and biological (biotic) conditions in an ecosystem, often required by an organism for its survival, determines the organism’s niche.
