One method to produce enriched uranium is to use a gas centrifuge. Enriched uranium has a higher ratio of U-235 to U-238 than naturally occurring uranium. Solid uranium hexafluoride (UF6) is heated until it melts and vaporizes. The gas centrifuge is basically a rotating cylinder with lighter-weight gases extracted from the center. If the maximum speed of the outer end of the centrifuge is 500 m/s, compute and plot the pressure distribution in the centrifuge if it is filled with UF6 at a constant temperature of 600 K. The centrifuge is cylinder-shaped. Assume P = 1 atm in middle, and a radius of 25 cm. (Note: Tubes up to 10 m long are used in these centrifuges.)
