Females/males in the workforce: Over the last 4 decades, the percentage of the female population in the workforce has been increasing at a fairly steady rate. At the same time, the percentage of the male population in the workforce has been declining. The set of data is shown in the tables. Using the data, (a) draw scatterplots for both data sets, (b) determine whether the associations are linear or nonlinear, (c) determine whether the associations are positive or negative, and (d) determine if the percentage of females in the workforce is increasing faster than the percentage of males is decreasing. Discuss/Explain how you can tell for sure.
