Modify program MACK.FOR for an upstream inflow hydrograph and a downstream rating curve. At the upstream boundary, the discharge is specified as a function of time and the minus characteristic equation can be used to compute the depth and velocity. At the downstream boundary, use the plus characteristic equation and the Manning equation to compute the depth and velocity. Use the modified program to route the following hydrograph through the trapezoidal channel in Example 5.11. Mote that the computational time (dt) step is different from that of the inflow hydrograph, and the inflow must be interpolated at any time from the inflow hydrograph.
