Create Escher-type tilings with irregular shapes. Shown above each of the following grids is a basic shape with a curve on the left or a curve on the top. For each figure shown, translate the curve to the opposite side of the figure to create a shape that tiles the plane. Use a grid like the one shown to verify that the shape will tile the plane.
