On 8 × 11" drawing paper, lay out a " border and the 2" × 4" title block shown in Fig. 3-20. Using guidelines " high and " between each set, draw four each of the basic lettering strokes shown in Fig. 3-5 in the first set. On the next two rows, letter the complete basic, single-stroke alphabet twice, centering each row. On the fifth row, letter two sets of the numerals. In the space below the numerals, lay out " guidelines " apart, and, centered both vertically and horizontally, letter the following:
