Note: These problems should be completed with a database software package such as Access. For Problems 6-3 and 6-4, you may use data that you (or your instructor) have downloaded from an accounting database. Problem 6-5 demonstrates the interaction between an application software system and the database.

Note: This problem is a continuation of Problem 6-3 but requires access to the Internet, a site for posting the database on the Web, and an understanding of Internet access.

a. Take the database developed in Problem 6-3 and place it on the Internet (or your instructor may provide the same).

b. Access the database from your local computer using the appropriate address for the database. (Your software must be capable of using Internet addresses for locating the data.)

c. Use a series of queries similar to that in Figure 6.17 (pg. 213) to pull down the billing information for Fleet Services.

REF PRB:

P 6-3 Using the information from Figures 6.12 (pg. 206) and 6.13 create the database in the software package of your choice. This will require three steps:

• Implement the relations from Figure 6.13.

• Insert the data from Figure 6.13 into the relational tables.

• Print the data from each of the relations to test for successful implementation.
