Cooperative Learning Construct a device for measuring angle of elevation or angle of depression by attaching a weighted string to a protractor as shown in the figure. Work with a group to select an object such as a light pole or tree. Measure the angle of elevation to the top of the object and the angle of depression to the bottom of the object while standing at some appropriate distance from the object. Use these angles, the distance to the object, and the distance of your eye from the ground to find the height of the object.
