The blade height at sections (1) and (2) is 0.45 m and the volume flowrate through the turbine is 30 m3/s. The runner speed is 130 rpm in the direction shown. Determine the shaft power developed. Is the shaft power greater or less than the power lost by the fluid? Explain.
