Sometimes it can be difficult to determine the critical point of a function f because the system of equations that arises from setting ∇ f equal to zero may be very complicated to solve by hand. For the functions given in Exercises 24–27, (a) use a computer to assist you in identifying all the critical points of the given function f , and (b) use a computer to construct the Hessian matrix and determine the nature of the critical points found in part (a).
