Distinguishing prochiral isomers
In this chapter, the concept of prochirality was discussed. Citrate (see Figure 19.2) is a prochiral molecule. Describe the process by which you would distinguish between (R-) and (S-) portions of this molecule and how an enzyme would discriminate between similar but distinct moieties.
