A student proposes to run an automobile without using any fuel by building a windmill on top of the car. The car’s motion will cause the windmill to rotate and generate electricity. The electricity will run a motor, maintaining the car’s motion, which in turn causes the windmill to rotate. What, if anything, is wrong with this proposal?
