High School Dropouts Figure shows the status dropout rates of 16- to 24-year-olds, by race/ethnicity. [The status dropout rate is the percentage of 16- through 24-year-olds who are not enrolled in high school and who lack a high school credential. High school credentials include high school diplomas and equivalent credentials, such as a General Educational Development (GED) certificate. Those still enrolled in high school are excluded from the analysis.] Use inductive reasoning to predict the percentage of Total 16- to 24-year-olds dropouts in 2009.
