Consider the graph of  once again, and the x by f(x) rectangles mentioned in the Worthy of Note on page 149. Calculate the area of each rectangle formed for x ∈ {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6}. What do you notice? Repeat the exercise for  and the x by g(x) rectangles. Can you detect the pattern formed here?
