The U.S. Census Bureau maintains a “population clock” that keeps track of the population of the United States. Since that time, the population has continued to grow (reaching 300,000,000 by the time you read this), and has become increasingly diverse. The percentages of the population that are African-American, Asian, and Hispanic have increased, while the percentage of the population that is white has decreased, as indicated in Fig.
