For example, consider the statement “If you use Sudsy Soap, then you will be clean.” The advertiser wants you to use Sudsy Soap, but what also is implied is that if you do not use Sudsy Soap, then you will not be clean. Also, consider endorsements, such as those by super stars that say you had better eat a certain cereal implying that you might be just like this famous person if you do so. The group should present five of the best examples and present them to the class.
