Determinants. The following problems define cofactors and minors of a square matrix and then use them to evaluate a determinant.
The determinant of a square matrix A can be computed in the following way:
(a) Select any row.
(b) Multiply each element in the row by its cofactor.
(c) Add the products obtained in step (b).
Write a function det_r to compute the determinant of a square matrix with four rows and four columns using this technique. You may want to reference the function developed in Problem. Assume that the corresponding function prototype is
double det_r(double a[4][4]);
Problem
A cofactor Ai,j of a matrix A is the product of the minor ai,j of and the factor (‑1)i+j. Write a function to compute a cofactor of a square matrix with four rows and four columns. The arguments should be the matrix A and the values of i andj. You may want to reference the function in Problem. Assume that the corresponding function prototype is:
double cofactor(double a[4][4],int i,int j);
