Referring to Table, double the flows in Column 11 for each sewer reach and determine the minimum commercially available concrete box sizes required (available in 1.0-ft increments) for each sewer reach using a minimum box span and rise of 2.0 ft. Keep all elevation, length, slope, and roughness data the same as presented in the table. After sizing the box sewers, recompute the HGL for the entire system. Evaluate any problems with maintaining a minimum actual velocity of 3 fps.

Notes: The Dimensions (span and rise) called for in the Conduit Characteristics will be the same in cases of round pipe. Other shapes can normally apply (i.e., box or oval sewers).
The Elevation data input in the Conduit Characteristics is for the flow lines of the conduits. U/S and D/S denote Upstream and Downstream, respectively.
The Actual Velocity is calculated based upon full-fl ow conditions for the design fl ow in Column 11.
