Solution

Given that ,

p = 53% = 0.53

1 - p = 1 - 0.53 = 0.47

n = 5

x = 3

Using binomial probability formula ,

P(X = x) = ((n! / x! (n - x)!) * px * (1 - p)n - x

P(X = 3) = ((5! / 3! (5 - 3)!) * 0.533 * (0.47)5 - 3

=  ((5! / 3! (2)!) * 0.533 * (0.47)2

= 0.3289

Probability = 0.3289
