Explanation:

Firstly here population standard deviation \sigma is not known , so we can not use Normal distribution.

Now we konw that the histogram of both normal and t distribution is Symmetric and having range from -\infty to \infty As like below:

In our question histogram is not symmetric, still if we consider that this histogram displays only postive side and if negative side diplayed then it will be symmetric. But it is important to see that Salary will never be negative, and hence there will not be negative side of histogram.(i.e neither normal nor t distribution)
