Answer #1

While observing two people talking to each other, the scenarios may be multiple, but for the sake of putting it in simple terms we will take two scenarios:
1.   Informal conversation between two people as friends at one friend’s home.
2.   Conversation/Discussion of colleagues at an official meeting in front of silent subordinates.
Before we try to examine the type of conversation, let’s understand first the eight components of communication, which are:
Source: The source is actually the source of communication.
Message: At first glance, the message is simply the information you want to communicate or contents of the discussion.
Encoding, Channel, Decoding, Receiver, Feedback, Context.
-   Informal conversation between two people as friends at one friend’s home: An informal conversation is mostly aimed at sharing information or communicating something to other person, by, not necessarily keep the systematic of effective communication in order.
In most of the cases both the source and receiver have relatively more comfort of understanding the communication better than an official and need not necessarily to be complete using formal language. So most of the components are followed, except for the feedback, which may not be required in an informal conversation or is explicitly communicated keeping in view the compatibility level and approach comfort of Source & Receiver.
-   Conversation/Discussion of colleagues at an official meeting in front of silent subordinates: Formal or Official conversation follows almost every component in case of an official meeting or discussion between two colleagues in front of sub ordinates. Formal conversation is witnessed in a sophisticated and well directed atmosphere, driven by compliance and policies. We can evidence all the eight components in an official conversation, as the communication is always aimed at some conclusion, which is followed by feedback.

Describe a situation where you see probabilities or might see probabilities. Then present this probability as a conditional probability. In response, other students can make assumptions about the conditional probability table that could accompany such a situation and pose a question for a specific probability. Finally, a third student can show the work of solving the probability. Your first post should start a new probability discussion only. Please provide example and any reference that you used
