1. The medical diagnosis is LGA ( large for gestational age) are the babies born with 90th percentile for their gestational age,which means they weight about 90% more than the other babies of same gestational age.
The etiology are as follows:
* maternal diabetes
* previous LGA baby
* large stature
* preexisting uncontrollable diabetes
* genetic or congenital disorder
* obesity
The pathophysiology is:
Diabetes during the maternal period when increased the blood circulates into the fetus, in response the fetus makes the insulin.

* hypoglycemia

* increased weight more than 90% than other babies
* respiratory distress
3. The complications include:
* shoulder dystocia
* metatarsus adductus
* hypoglycemia
* hip subluxation
* talipes calcaneovalgus
