Nursing care of the Child with Respiratory Disorder;

1. Knowing the family history of cystic fibrosis

2. Assessing the child for lung infection

3. Maintain the patient airway, monitor the respiratory status

4. Provide safe oxygen administration

5. Position the child for maximal excursion

6. Use antipyretics if the temperature is elevated

7. Maintain adequate hydration

8. Encourage rest

9. Administer the antibiotics prescribed

10. Minimize the infection spread and susceptibility to infections

11. Reduce anxiety
