dose administered in 1 hour= 1200 units /hr = 48 ml in 60 minutes

1 litre contains 25000 units 1 litre = 1000 ml

drop factor = 10 gtts/ml 1ml =25 units( 25000 units /1000 ml)

so, 1200/25 =48 ml ( 25units / 1 ml= 1200 units/ X (ml)=

therefore X = 1200/25 = 48)

so flow rate =( volume (ml)/time (min)) * drop factor

=( 48/ 60) * 10 = 8 gtt /minute
