Using Kirchhoff's Laws, find the currents I1, I2, and I3 in the circuit shown. Hint: Use both junction rule and voltage rule from the two loops.

let us first name the loops . let the upper loop be loop 1, lower one be loop2 and a third loop which is the whole circuit except the middle line connections.

kirchoffs voltage law for loop 1

14-4(I1-I3)+10 -6I1=0

kirchoffs voltage law for loop 2

-10 +2I3+6I1=0

kirchoffs voltage law for loop 3

14-4(I1-I3)+2I3=0

solving these three equations we get

I1= 2A

I2= 1A

I3=-1A
