• The major role of a primary character is to take care the patient. In this scenario dysphagia is a result of stroke which can lead to aspiration. The role of a primary character (professional registered nurse) to keep the patient empty mouth untill the assessment of swallowing gets over. Should check the vitals regularly. Make sure patient posture upright while feeding. Shouldn't allow the patient ti eat or drink anything until a type of diet is fixed by dietician. If patients gets aspiration nurse should encourage them to cough immediately. Suspected aspiration should be informed to the doctor. In this scenario the primary character fails to follow these practice which leads to respiratory compromise.
