The three realistic proposals to reduce spending are

1) Reduce power costs for athletic events by holding the events during day time and thus saving on costs incurred on.lights

2) Reduce unnecessary costs of lodging and hotel expenses through better scheduling

3) Save on staff expenses by rationalising the number of people deployed for coordinating and managing athletic events.

To generate additional revenue, following steps can be taken

1) Encouraging advertisement to be done for sporting events

2) Starting ticket sales for major athletic events which could draw crowds

3) Align the membership fees higher to garner more revenue from membership of committee
