Communication is a key aspects in healthcare sector. It is a must to establish a professional communication with the healthcare professionals and therapeutic communication with the patient. Non verbal communication some times plays the best communication methods. For example:A provider disclosing the report to a patient who is positive for an infectious disease after conveying it to patient. The patient usually are in great grief to accept it and move ahead.In this situation a therapeutic touch which can console the patient by gently tapping the shoulder of patient and giving them a sense of hope and ways to come out of it.There is a must for eye contact when the patient tries to let out their feelings. Being silent in this time makes time for patient to think and act ,then ask for medical help. The provider can use the non verbal communication to proceed further.Here non verbal communication was the first method used and was much effective.
