Answer #1

All 10 of these "core competencies" are centerd toward one goal, the universal development of knowledge for future nursing care.We as health care providers are continually focused what is the best outcome for the patient. We can achieve this goal for our patient"s through our continued education in these competencies. The NOF core competencies are extremely important to streamlining hoe nurses experience education and learning, and in how we provide care to the patients we serve.

The NOF Nursing Core Competency  model provides a standardized and structured approach to learning hoe to best introduce aa 10 of the competencies into our nursing care.if we can base the care we provide on these 10 competencies we can benefit the patients entire experience of the health care system.

Out of the 10 Nurse of the future Nursing core competencies listed below i have chosen,evidenced-based practice(EBP) and patient centered care as the two most important competencies of my future nurse practice.

The Nurse of the future nursing core competencies model include the following competencies : patient -centered care, professionalism, informatics and technology,Evidence-based practice,leadership,system-Based practice,Safety, communication,Team work, and Collaboration and Quality improvement.

Evidenced based practice is extremely important in my nursing practice .Every day I work with the tiniest of patients .the smallest mistake or misjudgment results in a disastrous out cone for the patient and their families .We use evidenced based practice to guide the care we provide .We all want to take the safest possible road to recovery. It is much easier to explain to a family that the plan of care we are giving their infant has been shown through experience .trial and error and success stories to be proven method or course of treatment.

For example,we are now using cooling therapy for infants that have suffered anoxic brain injuries at birth. The evidenced based practices states that active cooling should be initiated as soon as signs/symptoms are displayed .this cooling therapy has also provided critical feedback from the early trails.there are babies currently walking .talking, and growing normally that would have been severely brain damaged if they did not receive cooling therapy shortly after the injury occured. This is how evidenced based practice is important to my nursing practice
