Since,

[H+ ] [OH-] = 1 x 10^-14

Hence,

[OH-] = 1 x 10^-14 / 4 x 10^-8

[OH-] = 2.5 x 10^-7 M

A) pH = 2.34

[H3O+] = 10^-pH = 10^-2.34 = 4.6 x 10^-3 M

Acidic

B) [H3O+] = 1.04 x 10^-3

pH = - log [H3O+] = - log 1.04 x 10^-3 = 3 -0.02 = 2.98

C) pH = -0.19

[H3O+] = 10^- (-0.1) = 10^0.1 = 1.26 M

D) [H3O+] = 2 x 10^-1 = 0.2 M

pH = - log [H3O+]
