Answer 8) Nurses interventions regarding alcohol intake must be to inform about this issue to the patients family and inform them about the ways and practices that will allow them to be supportive to the patient for quitting drinking. Also, the first intervention should be to suggest the patient to minimise the drinking rather than totally abstaining from it. After that, patient should be made aware about the risk factors that will prevail if he continues to drink while the treatment or after it.

Answer 9) Food items such as caffeine, spicy food, citrus food and any acidic item must be avoided. This is because these items produce more acid in the stomach that will enhance peptic ulcers.

Answer 10) Nurse’s best response must be to suggest the patient to complete his course of treatment to recover fully. He should take care of his prescription amounts and duration and also about the precautions that were told to him.
