Answer #1

a)Mean of the PAI scores

59 +4756 + 4446+ 48 +60 +45

405

0.6250

b) To compute the median of the PAI scores,

sorting the values in the ascending order of magnitude, we get

44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 56, 59, 60

Median will be the middlemost the value in the sorted data set.

Number of observations = 8

Here, mean of rac{8}{2} = 4 th value and rac{8}{2} +1 = 5 the value will be the median.

4th value in the sorted data set = 47

5th value in the sorted data set = 48

Median = 474547.5
