1. Kelly Chambliss is worried about clinical performance and tests, which increases her stress level resulted in difficulty in falling asleep at night.

Stress has a direct link with duration and quality of sleep, stress decreases the quality and limits the duration of sleep. During stress, the body releases stress hormones(Drenalin and cortisol) which initiate fight or flight response by activating the autonomic nervous system.

In this stage there is blood flow increse to muscles and vital organs, heart starts beating faster, and the pupil dilates which makes very difficult to fall asleep or decreases the duration.
