Environment and Heredity or genetic factors contribute to Intelligence of an Individual.Researches reveal that 50% 0f Intelligence are dependent upon the genetic factors.And researches aslo show that Environment and Heredity has equal importance in the development of Intelligence.

Heredity factors: These are the factors that are inhereted through genes, which are passed or inherited from one generation to other generation.

Environmental factors: contributes the factors are the surroundings socioeconomic background,family,nutrition,urbanisation,modernisation has contributed towards intelligence of an Individual.

According to me Environmental factor impacts more on Intellectual development more.As an individual they can inherit it through genes but they should have adequate environmental factors to support and to enable the growth of Intellectual development.Like good socioeconomic status enables good nutrition and prevention of malnutrition and aids in good intellectual development.It also helps by providing good opportunity to study through various advanced technology and wide exposure is also affordable through good finance.

Family which is the other factor of environment that helps in the development of an Individual.Broken family, abusive parents, poverty always affects the mental health of a child and this can hinder the intellectual development in the Individual.

Other Environmental factors like air, water,land free from pollution is important in prevention of diseases which helps in intellectual development.Urbanistion and Modernisation also plays an important role as there is comparatively good access to good technology which in turn helps in the Intellectual development.
