Answer #1

Health can be defined as the holistic wellbeing were an individual is physically, mentally, socially, spiritually complete with absence of any illness. The family is unit of service in all health care. The health of one member affects the welfare of other family member. Thus providing a outline approach to my family in health planning safeguarding prevention and promotion starts with the steps as follows: IN PLANNING: This phase is an initial step in the whole process, for my family planning about the health approach is initially by communication verbally getting the information from the family members and doing the objective assessment to identify the problems into categories such as actual, potential and risk factors. # the risk assessment scale can be used in assessing the different age group in my family # once the complete assessment is being done the next is to explain the family members about the time period it takes for the screening, health promotion and follow up activities to enhance wellbeing of each individual in the family. NEXT STEP IS HEALTH SCREENING: here the screening can be planned in 2phases one is as proactive : a general routine assessment done to assess their over all and systemic health. The other would be opportunistic : here the vulnerable age group in the family is being targeted and identifies in the priority of health screening. IN THE HEALTH PREVENTION/ PROMOTION : the planning starts with the primary prevention or health promotion: this is we're the vulnerable people are put into the group for screening. Proper health education regarding health, exercises, diet, lifestyle changes can be delivered in addition supplements and vaccination can be added up to promote and enhance the present health. # secondary prevention : here the individuals from family who is already diagnosed with illness will be immediately planned for the treatment to prevent the further complications or impairment. # tertiary prevention planning: in this phase already the members would have reached the complications but still the fatality of the condition can be prevented with the immediate plan of action and necessary rehabilitation. The general overall health, wellness and illness depends on the determinants namely physical, social, psychological, cultural and lifestyle. Theses determinants fosters the family illness and wellness. Each determinant can be explained as follows:#physical/ biological: this explains the individuals environment were he resides. If it's in good place free from pollution and free from any pathogens. If the family stays in a crowded and unhygienic areas obviously they are at the high risk to get victimised to the dreadfull communicable disease. # social factors: this plays the important role in an individual as well as family health when an individual in the family is socially isolated it definitely affects his physical and mental health and he will at risk of illness. # psychological factors: as the definition of health states the person should be sound by mind too if any psychological problems are provoked within him or assessed in him than definitely he is under danger eg: anxiety disorders, depression were by the individual will divert from his physical health and hygiene and vulnerable for infirmities. # Cultural factors: this also plays an significant role in the health for instance in some cultures the pregnancy and postnatal mothers are not given a high balance diet with sufficient fluids which makes women's prone for diseases, another example the cultural practices of some food like half cooked Port or beef which makes individual go for bovine infections. # life style factors: in this era most of our family is vulnerable to diseases due to life style changes occurring and the habits like food, exercise bad habits has the impact eg: caffeine products, beverages, junk foods, lack of exercises which in return obesity, alcoholism, smoking and other work related factors. Yes definitely by keeping all the above things in mind I strongly agree this family is vulnerable at having illness as the health and wellness measures are being altered with various determinants in the bane and not in the boon. This family has the clear explanation why will they be under risk since they are on the platform of danger in their life beginning from their basic hygienic needs, food water shelter. And one more thing to consider when thinking of risk is based on the maslows hierarchy model whereby each and every stage starting from the physiological phase till the self actualisation any of the need is not met or it is being disturbed obviously here it's not met whereby it influences on the individual. When individuals in family gets affected the family undergoes interrupted family process were by even family health is under stake. Thus keeping all this in mind as family is the unit of society, when family is healthy society seems healthy when society seems healthy nation is healthy when nation seems healthy the whole globe would he healthy in producing best to themselves, environment and generation. Therefore proper preventive measure starts with the modification in the determinants of health were by each individual in the family leads a healthy life merely in absence of disease or infirmity.
