  • illness means a state os sickness that affect body and mind for a period of time.
  • disease means a condition of the body or some part or organ of thr body in which its functions are impaired, disrupted or dearranged.

so if we have perfect knowledge of lifestyle behaviour then it will reduce the risk of illness, injury and disease. lifestyle is the way people living and their personal habits luke smoking, alcoholism, drug addicts etc. it is usually learned by parents, peer groups, interaction with society, school and mass media erc. so to promote wellness and reduce illness, disease and injury requires promotion of healthy lifestyle.

  • many diseases are associated with lifestyle changes like obesity, lungs disease, coronary heart disease etc.
  • many diseases can improved by good sanitation, good nutrition, proper personal hygiene and customs and cultural patterns, good sleeping pattern, physical activity, sufficient drinking water per day.
  • for example by avoiding alcohol we can avoid road traffic accidents and also liver diseases, to prevent coronary heart disease we can have to avoid sedentary lifestyle and have good nutrition and physical activity.
