Exercise is the physical activity intended to improve strength and fitness of the body. For a patient with heart disease, regular exercise is an important step to keep his heart in a good state.

Benefits

* Aerobic exercises such as walking, light jogging etc improve the blood flow to the heart  and helps the heart tisdues to use oxygen more.

* Exercise heps the heart muscles to become strong

* Regular physical exercise helps to lose weight, reduce blood pressure and cholesterol ( Increased cholesterol levels increases the risk of Coronary artery diseases, Hypertension may leads to stroke)

* It makes the bones strong

* Regular exercise keeps the person more active and it helps to him to sleep better

* Exercise helps to lower the blood sugar

* It is a way of relaxation, there by reducing the emotional stress and boost your self-esteem.

( Heart disease person must consult the health care provider before starting the exercise to know what type of Exercise is safe for him)

* Regular physical exercise helps a person to become more active, more relaxed , that will result in the decrease of systolic pressure.

* Exercise reduces the body weight and lowers cholesterol ( one of the cause for hypertension and atherosclerosis)
