For given n, number of orbitals = n^2

= 5^2

= 25

Answer: 25

d)

For d subshell l = 2.

Number of orbitals = 2l+1

= 2*2+1

= 5

e)

For f subshell l = 3.

Number of orbitals = 2l+1

= 2*3+1

= 7
