On the basis of Healthy People by 2020, MENTAL HEALTH aggregate that I found to be at risk in my community. Although, it is true that the program has been successful in achieving its goals in other domains especially in the propagation of Health Information Technology and improving Health Communication in society.
In our society, there have been many cases of adolescent suicide and drug abuse induced violence I think everybody will agree these are not mere law and order instead there is a mental health angle to this. In our community, there are no registered Mental Health Nurses or Psychiatrists. There are no mental health hospitals or clinics nearby. So, the people who require mental health care are vulnerable and helpless. I am reasonably afraid that our community is not going to make any improvement in Mental Health and Mental Disorder(MHMD-1 MHMD12) unless and until the attention of policymakers is drawn into this aggregate in Healthy People 2020 objectives.
