We looked at general liability, which can include everything from liability car insurance to making sure wet floor signs are used. However, outside the world of actually practicing medicine, how much general liability should a physician be responsible for?

For example, if there are lots of flowers that staff has planted in the area outside the front door of the doctor’s office, and a patient who is highly allergic to bee stings gets stung by a bee, should the doctor’s general liability cover treatment for the sting?

In a paragraph or two, please respond to the above scenario. Use the knowledge and legal terminology that you have learned thus far to state your case whether or not the physician would be liable in this scenario.
