For circular motion at contant speed v the acceleration is equal to v​​​​​​2​​​​​/R which is always acting towards the centre.

And this is known as centripetal acceleration.

V=40MPH

one miles =1609.344meter

one hours=3600sec

V=(40x1609.344)/3600=17.88m/sec

R=30m

acceleration=(17.88x17.88)/30=10.7m/sec​​​​2

so options a is correct answer.
