Return on investment = Margin*Turnover

Division B- Margin – (Net operating income /Sales)*100

= ($428400/$35700000)*100

= 1.2%

Turnover = Sales/ Average operating assets

= $35700000/$7140000

= 5

Return on investment = Margin*Turnover

= 1.2%*

Division C- Margin – (Net operating income /Sales)*100

= ($555120/$20560000)*100

= 2.7%

Turnover = Sales/ Average operating assets
