No. of shares of Alaska Air to be purchased in the portfolio = Amount to be invested in Alaska Air / Share Price of Alaska Air = $8,100 / $44.26 = 183 shares

Amount to be invested in Best Buy = Value of investment * Weight of Best Buy in the portfolio

= $27,000 * 0.50 = $13,500

No. of shares of Best Buy to be purchased in the portfolio = Amount to be invested in Best Buy / Share Price of Best Buy = $13,500 / $53.12 = 254 shares

Amount to be invested in Ford Motor = Value of investment * Weight of Ford Motor in the portfolio
