Nurses are the backbone of the healthcare.
Metaparadigms plays an important role in patient care.The 4 metaparadigms of nursing are 1) person, 2) environment, 3)helath, 4) nursing.
By being patient care as central this four elements work together to provide utmost care to patient.
The metaparadigm person focuses on the care of the patient who is the receipt of treatment.In this it include the persons family,friends,religion , socioeconomic status etc.
Environment focuses on the internal and external factors of the patient which include his interactions with people around him.
Health focuses on the care given to the patient.It includes the care which the patient is receiving and the quality of the care.
Nursing focuses on the skill of the nurse while caring the patient and this include the attributes of the nurse while caring a patient.
All this 4 metaparadigms should be applied to patients to give quality care.By knowing all the information about the patient one can give care .
No person is same so while knowing this 4 attributes will help take care of the person as a whole.
