Evidence based nursing refers to a challenging approach that helps clinical nurse expertise to take a quality decision while rendering nursing care. The nurse expertise must possess sound knowledge about research process. It is essential to utilize the technology to access various published research articles done by the research scholars. By updating the knowledge about research aspects the nurse expertise must able to identify the topic of interest and the current problem in nursing practice that needs an instant solution.

The common barriers in lack of time. Nurses are working round the clock in rendering patient care. Inadequate time and scarcity of resources hinders nurses to implement evidence based practice. The next barrier is lack of support from the organization. Work place support is needed for all nurses to carry out field work and conduct various research work. Resistance among nurses and the organization act as a major barrier in implementing the evidence based practice.

The ways to overcome the barrier in applying evidence based practice is by rooting the basic concepts and needs of EVB for all nurses in basic nursing curriculum. Nurses must be ready to a crept the changes. As the population need is growing the nurses must not resistant to the change. Upgrading the technology advancements will also help the nurses to understand the need for research in nursing.

Nurse mentors can act as a motivator for all the subordinates in conducting new research studies in clinical setting. Organization must sanction grants fro nurses to conduct useful research. Periodical continuous nursing education helps to keep nurses updated about growing challenges in the field.
